Soccer Recap: Benbrook Beats Southwest for Their Second Straight Win

Benbrook won the last time they faced Southwest and things went their way on Friday too. The Benbrook Bobcats never let the Southwest Raiders onto the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won three matchups by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Southwest from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sydney Chavez led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

The win made it two in a row for Benbrook and bumps their season record up to 6-3-1. As for Southwest, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Benbrook duke it out with the Western Hills at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Diamond Hill-Jarvis at 8:00 p.m. on February 11th.
