Basketball Recap: Flomaton Comes Up Short

Flomaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Monroe County Tigers an easy 58-32 victory. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-37 two weeks ago.

Flomaton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Monroe County, they pushed their record up to 5-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Flomaton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orange Beach at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2026. As for Monroe County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against W.S. Neal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
