Soccer Game Preview: Sonoraville vs. Calhoun

Sonoraville is 2-7 against Calhoun since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Sonoraville will head out to face off against Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. Calhoun took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sonoraville, who comes in off a win.

Sonoraville had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the five-goal drubbing they dealt Pepperell on Friday. Sonoraville's defense stepped up to hand Pepperell a 5-0 shutout. Sonoraville might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by five goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Calhoun was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 6-1 to Wesleyan. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Calhoun were already down 3-0.

Sonoraville's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Calhoun, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.

Sonoraville might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Calhoun in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sonoraville was down 4-0.
