League recap: Crane throws longest pass in league this season for Millbrook

Jonathan Crane and Joe Daley provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Liberty. The connection went for 87 yards, the longest such play in Section 9 C-II this season.

Millbrook's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Crane threw for 94 and one touchdown and Daley had 89 yards receiving. On the ground Henry Cardinal chipped in 143 yards. David Olivera helped Millbrook's passing attack out by catching one ball for five yards.

Andrew Richwine made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Blazers fell to the Indians. The senior pulled down one interception.

5-foot-11 quarterback Joshua Carter of Fallsburg is the league leader in passing yards this season with 409. He has also thrown six touchdowns. On the ground, Millbrook's Cardinal has rushed for 1312 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Daley. The Millbrook star has nine catches for 250 yards.

In 112 carries Shakree Gibson has accumulated 980 yard this year.

Stissing Mountain made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 13,386 from 13,477. The improvement came about via a 21-14 victory over Onteora last week.
