North Johnston has gone a perfect 9-0 against Goldsboro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Panthers will welcome the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (North Johnston has seven straight wins, Goldsboro has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

North Johnston's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Beddingfield as they made off with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Panthers have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Samantha Boswell was excellent, going 1-for-2 with four RBI and one run. Mallori Woodard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Goldsboro challenged Farmville Central on Wednesday. The Cougars lost 11-1 to the Jaguars.

North Johnston's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Goldsboro, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything went North Johnston's way against Goldsboro when the teams last played back in March, as North Johnston made off with a 6-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
