Football Recap: Fairview Takes a Loss

Fairview extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-7. They had to suffer through a 47-7 loss at the hands of the North East Grape Pickers. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-7.

Jeremiah Bennett threw for 101 yards and one touchdown. Mason Smith-Holley was his top target, picking up 61 receiving yards. On the ground, Caden Oldach rushed for 34 yards.

As for North East, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 28 points or more this season.

Bryson Galloway had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 80 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairview will challenge Titusville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for North East, they will take on Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grape Pickers will be up against the Dragons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.44 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
