Volleyball Recap: Sophie Hesse and Ava Judd Secure Win for Sacred Heart

After losing to Smithton the last time they met, Sacred Heart decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Gremlins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Tigers on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Gremlins.

While Sacred Heart won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-14, 25-21.

Leading Sacred Heart to victory were Ava Judd and Sophie Hesse. Judd had ten digs, two blocks, and two aces, while Hesse had 22 digs. Judd is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Sacred Heart now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Smithton, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Sacred Heart didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Bunceton on the 22nd. As for Smithton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Prairie Home on the 22nd.
