Football Game Preview: Watseka Warriors vs. Momence Momence Athletics

The Watseka Warriors will challenge the Momence Momence Athletics at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Watseka is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Watseka's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Westville on Friday. They took a blow against the Tigers, falling 55-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Tigers are ranked 150th).

Meanwhile, Momence also failed to score in their most recent game. They were beaten by Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 49-0 on Friday. The Momence Athletics haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Momence's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Watseka, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Watseka suffered a grim 38-14 defeat to Momence in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Momence Athletics' Erick Castillo, who threw for 174 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.
