Soccer Game Preview: Central Valley Christian vs. Hanford West

The Central Valley Christian Cavaliers are taking a road trip to square off against the Hanford West Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Central Valley Christian and nine for Hanford West.

Monday just wasn't the day for Central Valley Christian's offense. They came up short against Bakersfield Christian on Monday, falling 5-0.

Meanwhile, Hanford West also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 4-0 to Washington Union on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1155th, while the Panthers are ranked 428th).

Hanford West's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Central Valley Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-1.

Central Valley Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Hanford West in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Valley Christian since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
