Basketball Game Preview: New Albany Eagles vs. North Royalton Bears

The New Albany Eagles will challenge the North Royalton Bears on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with New Albany sitting on five straight wins and North Royalton on 23.

New Albany is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They strolled past Avon with points to spare, taking the game 53-37. Given New Albany's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Avon is ranked 176th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Royalton didn't have too much trouble with North Ridgeville on Wednesday as they won 78-62.

North Royalton's victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points over those games. As for New Albany, their win bumped their record up to 21-4.
