Softball Game Preview: Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins vs. Isle of Wight Academy Chargers

The Cape Henry Collegiate Dolphins will face off against the Isle of Wight Academy Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Cape Henry Collegiate is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Pallotti with a sharp 19-3 win on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dolphins considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Cape Henry Collegiate let Leylana Dininny and Marshall Daniel run wild. Dininny scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Daniel scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. What's more, Daniel posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sydney Murphy, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Isle of Wight Academy made easy work of Southampton last Thursday and carried off a 14-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won four in a row.

Isle of Wight Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
