Baseball Game Preview: Pittston Patriots vs. East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves

The Pittston Patriots will face off against the East Stroudsburg North Timberwolves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pittston will be strutting in after a victory while East Stroudsburg North will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, Pittston made easy work of Lake-Lehman and carried off an 11-4 win.

Elijah Barr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Barr was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Pittston let Silvio Giardina and Eli Mead run wild. Giardina scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4, while Mead scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Tonte, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Pittston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake-Lehman only posted a batting average of .240.

Meanwhile, East Stroudsburg North came up short against Pocono Mountain West on Thursday, falling 12-2.

Colin Howell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
