Basketball Game Preview: Augusta Panthers vs. Bourbon County Colonels

The Augusta Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Bourbon County Colonels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Saturday, Augusta took a blow against West Carter, falling 59-31. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bourbon County ended up a good deal behind St. Henry on Sunday and lost 53-35. The Colonels haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Bourbon County now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Augusta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Augusta beat Bourbon County 58-47 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Augusta since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
