Softball Game Preview: Lafayette Central Catholic Knights vs. Crawfordsville Athenians

The Lafayette Central Catholic Knights will take on the Crawfordsville Athenians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 12 consecutive losses for Lafayette Central Catholic and 14 for Crawfordsville.

Friday just wasn't the day for Lafayette Central Catholic's offense. They came up short against Lebanon on Friday, falling 22-0.

Meanwhile, Crawfordsville also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 14-0 to Living Water Homeschool on Friday.

Lafayette Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Crawfordsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Lafayette Central Catholic came out on top in a nail-biter against Crawfordsville in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
