Preston Hatfield Delivers Best Effort of Season

Lee's Summit was led to victory by Preston Hatfield, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Hatfield rushed for 278 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 17.4 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

The win was the fifth in a row for Lee's Summit, bringing their record for this year to 7-1. Hatfield and Lee's Summit will be playing at home against Lee's Summit North at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Staley had to settle for second even though Draivyn Colvin put up the best numbers he has all season. Colvin rushed for 198 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run.

Staley is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. Colvin and Staley will be playing in front of their home fans against Raymore-Peculiar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
