Basketball Recap: Dunbar Poets vs. Carver Vo-Tech Bears
The Dunbar Poets lost against the Carver Vo-Tech Bears back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Dunbar took a 38-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Dunbar has scored all season.
Carver Vo-Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dorrian Sands, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalial Colclough, who scored 11 points.
Dunbar's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season.
Dunbar will take on the Foresters at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carver Vo-Tech, they will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Digital Harbor is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
