Recap: Jefferson Cougars vs. Musselman Applemen
The Jefferson Cougars had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 43-38 win over Musselman on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jefferson also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Jaiden Gladney continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Jefferson's points. Another player making a difference was Adonis Troxell, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Musselman had strong showings from Troy Woolaston, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, and Wade Bartles, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Gavin Mcclain was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Jefferson's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-5. As for Musselman, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-5.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Hedgesville the next time they take the court. Musselman will head out to face Hedgesville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Jefferson will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
