Softball Recap: Russell County Takes a Loss

Russell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They came up short against the Carroll Eagles, falling 21-7. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in February.

Kinsley Enfinger was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that she brought in this season. Stevie Barron was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Russell County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Carroll, their record is now 11-8-1.

Coming up, Russell County will challenge Loachapoka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carroll, they will face off against Eufaula at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
