Wise has gone 9-1 against Flowers recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Wise Pumas will head out on the road to face off against the Flowers Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Wise knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Flowers likes a good challenge.

Wise is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Eleanor Roosevelt just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell to the Raiders 79-73. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pumas came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Raiders are ranked 103rd).

Despite the defeat, Wise got top-tier performance from Eric Wedge, who went 6 for 12 en route to 21 points and six boards. Dion Walker was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points.

Even though they lost, Wise smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Flowers entered their matchup against Laurel on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Flowers fell just short of Laurel by a score of 79-77. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Jaguars have suffered since February 15, 2024.

Flowers' defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-2. As for Wise, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-3.

Wise didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Flowers in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 72-67 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wise since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
