Section 11 Division IV recap October 1, 2013
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wyandanch, who defeated 487th ranked Mercy, 28-20.
Danny Hughes and Tyler Anderson provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Stony Brook. The longest such play in Section 11 Division IV this season, the connection resulted in 59 yards.
Shoreham-Wading River's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Hughes threw for 119 and 2 touchdowns and Anderson had 59 yards receiving. On the ground Anderson chipped in 106 yards.
Anderson was the best receiver in the league this week as the Wildcats defeated the Bears.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Mount Sinai takes on Shoreham-Wading River. Mount Sinai is currently in first, while Matthew Millheiser's team is in fourth.
The Warriors were the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from 11th to eighth in Section 11 Division IV. Wyandanch beat the Monarchs 28-20 earlier in the week.
