Baseball Recap: Racine Lutheran/Prairie's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Racine Lutheran/Prairie's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Living Word Lutheran Timberwolves. The victory was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Racine Lutheran/Prairie got a great performance from Liam Larsen as he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Larsen a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

On the hitting side, Gabe Posnanski was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-18. As for Living Word Lutheran, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Racine Lutheran/Prairie will welcome Dominican at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Crusaders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Living Word Lutheran, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-5 defeat against Kettle Moraine Lutheran on the 17th.
