Baraga came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 47-41 W against the Jeffers Jets. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 191st, while the Jets are ranked 401st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Baraga's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Jeffers, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baraga will face off against Ishpeming at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Jeffers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Chassell at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
