Bishop Kenny extended their postseason success on Friday against Godby. They walked away with a 36-26 win over the Godby Cougars. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Derek Heideman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 273 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played. James Davis Iii was another key player, picking up 93 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Godby still got an impressive performance from Lazarus Chambers, who rushed for 53 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 177 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards Chambers has posted since back in August. A healthy portion of Chambers' aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Jamarin Simmons.

Bishop Kenny pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points per game. As for Godby, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Bishop Kenny wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 44-15 defeat against Raines on the 29th. Godby does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
