Basketball Recap: York County Tech Comes Up Short

York County Tech lost against York Catholic back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The York County Tech Spartans took a hard 61-42 fall against the York Catholic Fighting Irish. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Fighting Irish are ranked 293rd).

York County Tech has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for York Catholic, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

York County Tech has already played their next matchup (against Bermudian Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. York Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-34 win against Fairfield on the 21st.
