Baseball Recap: Florence Victorious

Florence won the last time they faced San Manuel and things went their way on Thursday too. The Florence Gophers walked away with a 6-1 win over the San Manuel Miners. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cameron Lorefice was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Wyatt Stenson, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-2.

Florence's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for San Manuel, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Florence didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Thatcher on the 28th. As for San Manuel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 14-0 victory against Ray on the 28th.
