Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Mogollon

Mogollon won the last time they faced Round Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mogollon Mustangs came out on top against the Round Valley Elks by a score of 52-43. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stetson Owens had an outrageously good game as he went 6 of 11 on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Round Valley still got an impressive performance from Ryan Rodriguez, who posted 12 points and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Latham, who had eight points in addition to six assists and six boards.

The win was the third in a row for Mogollon, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. As for Round Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Mogollon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-46 victory against Grand Canyon on the 5th. As for Round Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-49 loss against Madison Highland Prep on the 5th.
