Football Game Recap: Sedro-Woolley vs. Mount Vernon

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Mount Vernon ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They snuck past Sedro-Woolley with a 35-29 victory. Sedro-Woolley can consider this payback for the 35-41 loss they dealt Mount Vernon the last time the teams encountered one another.

The win bumped Mount Vernon's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Sedro-Woolley back to even at 1-1.

Mount Vernon will look to defend their home turf next week against Cascade at 7:00 PM. Sedro-Woolley are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Oak Harbor at 7:00 PM.
