Rains came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Commerce Tigers get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Rains' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Commerce, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rains will venture away from home to face off against Chisum at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Commerce, they will head out to square off against Life Waxahachie at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
