Union Parish and St. James squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Union Parish had to settle for second. They took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. James Wildcats. The Farmers' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Union Parish wouldn't let St. James keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Union Parish can thank Tyreon Traylor and Rontrell Ray for forcing both of them. Ray also made four total tackles, which is notable because Union Parish is 6-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 3-4 otherwise. Tyquereis Wilson was another major factor on D, making 15 total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending two passes.

Union Parish's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for St. James, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
