Volleyball Recap: Olympia Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lake Nona

Olympia extended their postseason success on Thursday against Lake Nona. They blew past the Lions 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Olympia took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14, 25-15.

Eliza Perdue was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 17 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Olympia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in three consecutive matches.

Lake Nona's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aleign Bagay, who had ten digs and seven assists, and Leilany Starling, who had ten digs.

Olympia's victory bumped their record up to 20-3. As for Lake Nona, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Olympia beat the Lions by a score of 3-0 on Wednesday.
