Volleyball Game Preview: Ponderosa Bruins vs. Vista del Lago Eagles

After both having extra time off, the Ponderosa Bruins and the Vista del Lago Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Wednesday, Ponderosa came up short against Rio Americano and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

While Ponderosa had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 16-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Vista del Lago, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on Inderkum with a sharp 3-0 victory last Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won four in a row.

While Vista del Lago won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-16, 25-22.

Vista del Lago's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-6. As for Ponderosa, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
