Baseball Recap: South Newton Rebels vs. Delphi Community Oracles

South Newton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-12 in the process. They lost 16-2 to the Delphi Community Oracles. The Rebels were not able to make up for their defeat to the Oracles from their previous meeting back in April of 2019.

Another player making a difference was Keigan Watts, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, South Newton will be playing in front of their home fans against Tri-County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Rebels' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Delphi Community, they have already played their next matchup, a 12-6 victory against Marquette Catholic on the 3rd.
