Basketball Game Preview: Florence Falcons vs. Austin Black Bears

The Florence Falcons will face off against the Austin Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Florence has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Florence is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 79-66 victory over Russellville on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hartselle. While losing is never fun, the Black Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 169th, while the Tigers are ranked seventh).

Florence's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

Florence was able to grind out a solid victory over Austin in their previous matchup on January 7th, winning 60-53. Will Florence repeat their success, or does Austin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
