Kalamazoo Christian strolled into their game  on Wednesday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Hackett Catholic Prep Fighting Irish as they made off with  a  16-1 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Comets also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.
 Carien Ybema made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Ybema was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news, Kalamazoo Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Allison Howes, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4.  Madalyn Vlietstra was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Kalamazoo Christian was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .483 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
