Soccer Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin lost against Monroe back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Hornets, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 328th, while Monroe are ranked 100th).

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6-4. As for Monroe, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on West Carrollton at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Monroe, they will square off against Miamisburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
