Basketball Recap: St. Louis Takes a Loss

St. Louis lost against Meridian back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The St. Louis Sharks lost to the Meridian Mustangs at home by a 58-42 margin. While losing is never fun, the Sharks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Mustangs are ranked 111th).

St. Louis' defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Meridian, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Louis will welcome Pinconning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Louis is facing Pinconning at the right time seeing as Pinconning is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Meridian, they will face off against Beaverton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meridian is on a six-game streak of home wins, Beaverton a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
