Football Recap: Clayton Valley Charter Falls to Spanish Springs in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Clayton Valley Charter kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 42-13 loss at the hands of the Spanish Springs Cougars. If the Ugly Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Cougars when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the defeat, Clayton Valley Charter had strong showings from Jhadis Luckey, who rushed for 154 yards and one score, and Mirza Mann, who threw for 95 yards and one TD.

Spanish Springs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Milligan out in front who rushed for 94 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of George Deacon Buddy, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Spanish Springs has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Clayton Valley Charter wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 35-16 win against College Park on the 5th. As for Spanish Springs, they have also already played their next contest, a 38-0 victory against Carson on the 5th.
