While Avoyelles Charter put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Peabody. Avoyelles Charter put the hurt on Peabody with a sharp 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.
Janiya Heath made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Heath was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Avoyelles Charter got a massive performance out of Lily Rousseau, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
