Soccer Game Preview: Selah vs. Toppenish

The Selah Vikings will venture away from home to square off against the Toppenish Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Selah's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Selah fell victim to Ellensburg and their airtight defense on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Selah came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Ellensburg are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, Toppenish didn't have quite enough to beat Grandview on Thursday and fell 3-2.

Selah's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Toppenish, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7-1 record this season.
