Jaelyn Woods looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, Tooele got a massive performance out of Hunter Culley, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Shields, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Tooele kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 11.2.
Meanwhile, Park City lost 11-1 to Skyline on Monday. The Miners haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Park City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Tooele, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tooele hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Park City struggles in that department as they've averaged .364. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
