Basketball Recap: Farina South Central Takes a Loss

Farina South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 67-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mulberry Grove Aces. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Aces earlier this season, when they won 54-38.

Jackson Icenogle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mulberry Grove, going 5-for-9 en route to 21 points. The matchup was Icenogle's seventh in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hagan Henrichsmeyer, who posted ten points and four steals.

Farina South Central's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Mulberry Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-16 record this season.

Looking ahead, Farina South Central will host Oblong/Hutsonville/Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mulberry Grove, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 loss against Neoga on the 15th.
