Soccer Recap: Bexley Falls to Grove City in First Game of Season

Bexley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Grove City Greyhounds by a score of 3-2 on Friday. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Bexley couldn't quite close it out.

Georgia Buddendeck and Avery George scored both of Bexley's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bexley will challenge Whitehall-Yearling at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be Bexley's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Grove City, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Lancaster at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
