Volleyball Recap: Pflugerville Connally Takes a Loss

Pflugerville Connally was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the East View Patriots, falling 3-0. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-14.

Aniya Toney paced Pflugerville Connally's offense, picking up nine kills. Toney got some help from Caroline Benge and her 13 assists. Rosemary Penaloza controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pflugerville Connally's loss dropped their record down to 5-24. As for East View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-17.

Coincidentally, Pflugerville Connally and East View will both be playing Elgin the next time they take the court. The Cougars will host the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
