Benbrook waltzed into their match on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They had just enough and edged out the Boswell Pioneers 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Pioneers on April 12th, they had to take a 6-0 defeat.

Jax Stockton looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Benbrook saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Smith, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Smith has posted since back in March.

Benbrook's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Boswell, they moved to 27-5 with that loss, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

Benbrook didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-2 victory against Eagle Mountain on the 1st. As for Boswell, they have also already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Byron Nelson on the 1st.
