Basketball Game Preview: Toll Gate Titans vs. Hope Blue Wave

The Toll Gate Titans will head out to face off against the Hope Blue Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Toll Gate will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Toll Gate beat Prout 72-67.

Damola Oremosu was a one-man wrecking crew for Toll Gate as he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Oremosu a new career-high in points. Brayden Healey was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Hope ended up a good deal behind North Smithfield on Wednesday and lost 68-52. While the Blue Wave didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Northmen 14-10 in the first quarter.

Hope now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Toll Gate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Toll Gate came up short against Hope in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 46-35. Can Toll Gate avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
