Softball Recap: Central Lyon Comes Up Short

Central Lyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen, falling 12-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in July of 2024.

Central Lyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Central Lyon will host West Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for MOC-Floyd Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Spirit Lake on the 10th.
