Softball Recap: Shawano Community Hawks vs. Menasha Bluejays

Shawano Community lost against Menasha back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Shawano Community Hawks fell 6-2 to the Menasha Bluejays. Shawano Community has not had much luck with Menasha recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Shawano Community saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylyn Babino, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

On Menasha's side, they got a great performance from Sam Shuey as she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Eve Rausch was incredible, going 2-for-2 with two triples, two RBI, and a run. The team also got some help courtesy of Karly Helf, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and a triple.

Shawano Community's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Menasha, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

As for Menasha, they will head out on the road to square off against Appleton West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Menasha is facing Appleton West at the right time seeing as Appleton West is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
