Baseball Recap: Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Comes Up Short

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to the Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Royals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 back in May.

Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn is set to take on their familiar foe South O'Brien at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union will square off against rival George-Little Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
