Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 52-16 defeat at the hands of the Hatch Bobcats. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Southside's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Hatch, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southside won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Calhoun at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hatch, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Greensboro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
