Volleyball Recap: Northside Takes a Loss

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rutland Hurricanes. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hurricanes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Northside sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 13-25, 15-9.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Rutland, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Northside will square off against Veterans on Saturday. As for Rutland, they will head out to take on Pike County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
